Letter from the CEO and Board Chair

Across UNC Health, our vision is to be the nation’s leading public academic and community health system with patients at the center of all we do.

Over the last year, we’ve made progress toward that vision across all areas of our mission – clinical care, education, and research.

As you’ll read throughout this report, we have expanded care in new locations, we are excelling in our research work to develop the treatments and cures that will serve our patients today as well as our children and grandchildren, and finally we are innovating in our educational approach to train the next generation of healthcare providers to care for the growing population of North Carolina.

It is truly an honor to work with our more than 55,000 teammates each day to care for patients from all of North Carolina’s 100 counties. We are proud of all that we have accomplished together this year and look forward to making an even greater impact in the years ahead.
